Course outline
This T-Splines class is an accelerated, one-day, hands-on experience where you will learn how to use T-Splines by creating a number of models. Download the training outline for more information. During the class, you will learn
- Basic properties of T-spline surfaces.
- Multiple approaches for modeling with T-splines, including using an input of NURBS curves and surfaces, box modeling, and completely organic modeling.
- How to integrate T-splines with Rhino and NURBS in a production workflow.
The basics of modeling T-Splines will be taught as the participants make a series of simple models, each one introducing new commands while repeating commands to reinforce learning.
Assumptions
- It is not assumed that the participant has previous experience with T-Splines or subdivision surface modeling; however, since this is an accelerated course, any prior experience will be beneficial.
- It is assumed that the participant has basic understanding of Rhino (i.e. has completed Rhino Level 1 training)
Additional information
- Computers are provided.
- All participants will receive a training manual and step-by-step .3dm files of models completed in class.
