Grasshopper3D and T-Splines Print E-mail

T-Splines can be used to create generative freeform objects with Grasshopper, a free plugin for Rhino.

Here are some ways the two products can be used together. Please feel free to share your own work on the T-Splines forum.

Integrated plugin

1. The T-Splines 2.3 Grasshopper component can be used to convert meshes generated inside Grasshopper to T-Splines or NURBS.

2. T-Splines models can be used as an input to Grasshopper. (Here is a simple pdf tutorial).

Mesh smoothing and conversion

3. Grasshopper can be used to create a mesh, then the mesh can be converted to T-Splines.

4. Grasshopper can be used to create a control polygon of lines, which can be converted to a T-spline object.
