HI Karmapa, welcome to the T-Splines forum.
I think we dont have any tutorial showing how to do this kind of furniture.
There is no particular workflow for this :-( ......in general, this kind of shapes are the result of fortuite playing around with primitives, extruding faces, and manipulating the control points.
So, I would suggest you to get the main shape by deforming a primitive. Then, using a polygonal workflow you can make the holes (deleting and extruding faces and edges).
Probably, any T-Splines tutorial can help you with this task...........
Do you have any polygonal modeling experience?

Ok, so maybe this kind of shapes are too difficult for a non polygonal experience beginner.
I recomend you to make some of the T-SPlines tutorials (like the dolphing) and read the manual for a better understanding. You can also take a look at these great videos that kind of explain SubD and Polygonal modeling principles. http://guerrillacg.org/ (Almost all this info can be applied to T-Splines).
Once you have done this I am sure you will have a better idea on how to aproach this kind of furniture. I can also help you then. :D

Hi Karmapa,
It seems that a lot of people wants to know how to model a ZAha Hadid type shape.......me too :-)
We should ask them how to? :-)
Anyway, look at this post I made for other person. I guess it would be helpfull for you too. Would you be interested in a tutorial to make this shape?

I know that Zaha Hadid uses T-Splines for some things, but I am sure they use other things as well. They use many different techniques.

That said, some types of shapes are much easier to create using T-Splines, so sometimes you can tell ;).
