Round edge?

A support and feedback forum for Autodesk T-Splines Plug-in for Rhino users.

Round edge?

Postby Johnny » Sat Jun 11, 2011 10:45 am

How do You make a round edge in T-Splines?
Attached is the picture from a seat (in the chair) where the upper part of the edge should be round (ONLY the upper part). So that it would look like a pillow (half) IN the chair.
Something like 'fillet edge' in Rhino.

'Insert edge' doesn't work because of the sharp corners. If that's the right command, how do I make it work?

Thank's!

Johnny

Hi Johnny,
First you would need to tsRemoveCreases from the surface. Then, just tsInsertEdges (complete loops) to make the border transition more round. Is like inserting control points on a spline curve. More and tighter control points generates a less rounded transition.
