Very neat ring! I bet you can get a bunch of variations on that one by just changing the joint style. You might even create an entire line based off of just joint sets lol. Love it!

Hey Travis, Thanks , Tspipe rocks ! i love it, but when i converted to Rhino object and then STL file to print that model with the Solidscape T76, i got a problem, in some joints ,some surfaces get into another ones , and it will makes many errors in Solidscape Modelworks software, and i could not print it,
I tried to change the tspipe command line option to solve this prob, like changing the Joint types but it changes the shape of pipes,
Any suggestions?

Yeah self intersections are trouble with that tool. Short of changing the joint set to something like Bendy there isnt much else of a solution. And that really isnt great because like you said, it changes the overall look of the ring. Exploding the resulting breps and trimming them to fit right would be a nightmare and not a valid idea either really... Well, unless you are really lonely on friday night and looking for something to do lol.

For me, the solution would be to Voxelize the model in Claytools. This would reskin the entire thing and toss out anything internally that could be intersecting. However, I realize that's a pricey solution for such a small problem. You might find it easy enough to project a new mesh onto the object in something like ZBrush or 3d Coat as well which could prove to be a far less expensive solution. Although I have my doubts about the success of either of those two.

The last idea I have might be to do your rails in smaller sections making sure that as the groups of 3 cross over each other they are separate entities. So for each major intersection you would have 2 Y shaped objects, one for the Over and one for the Under. This would essentially be multiple groups of tsPiped objects. This way they could be booleaned together in the end. Getting the same look might require more editing time but you could probably get it done before friday night rolls around.

if its not a "copyrighted" model (what a joke even saying that in jewellery), you can upload to netfab and they fix and send back, within the hour usually.. sealed watertight mesh and free. think free Magics.. read fine print carefully tho.

It's also possible to change joint sets for individual joints, if that helps. You can edit one particular joint to use the bendy joint set, but leave the rest of the ring in the default joint set.

Or, of course, once you're done piping, you can always just hand-tweak the model to unflip it. It is a T-Spline, after all.
