That crest is one of the most elaborate models I have ever seen done with T-Splines  . I'm guessing the plug-in performance got pretty bad when you were using it?

I've been doing a lot of speed-up work for the next version, so models like this are good motivation ;).

lol yes, she really started to lag pretty bad. It got to where I would just work on it in sections and save it off as different pieces.

That butterfly model was pretty bad too. I should have named it Ode to Star Points.

If you have any nasty star-point-heavy models you would consider typical, I'll happily use it for the performance tuning. We do have some in-house stuff, but we usually lack the imagination to be quite as hard on it as designers are. My email's adam at tsplines dot com if you think of something.

I do have other models which are good for performance tests, so please don't feel obligated. This is just an offer in case you want me to tune to your workflow ;).

Hey all,

been a while, had my head down with matrix 7. I finally have a minute to come up for some air and venture around the interwebs to share some of things I've done for matrix 7. Some of these are part of a tsplines library of items we've included with matrix 7. They aren't 100% polished models. They are just far enough along to establish shape so that users can further craft them into more refined works.

Anyway, I'm excited to see where everyone takes T-Splines in Matrix 7. I know next years Chicago design symposium is going to be insane with all of the new T-Spline possibilites!

You will need to right click on some of these images and do View Image in your browser as they are too wide to fit this forum template.

In all there were just over 100 models we included in 7 for users to push and pull and get started with. A bunch of simple shanks, bails , scrolls, banners and of course... HELMETS!

roflol, awesome!

on a side note, nice turtle. There must be something in the air this year with turtles. I just finished up the modeling on my 3rd this year.
