Converting an .obj mesh file to a smooth T-spline surface is a popular feature in the T-Splines for Rhino plugin because T-spline surfaces are NURBS compatible and can be passed downstream to other applications as a watertight polysurface. Even though the actual conversion of the .obj mesh to a T-spline surface is a simple, push-button feature, knowing a few best practices for creating your mesh will greatly improve the quality of your surface after conversion.

| This webinar was recorded on 7 October 2009 using T-Splines v2.1 At this webinar, you will learn how to: - Easily create smooth, complex T-spline surfaces that would be difficult to make in other solid or surface modelers
- Export T-spline surfaces to any solid modeling package that reads .3dm files. This is a push-button solution; we will demonstrate it with SolidWorks.
- Add final details, integrate with solid geometry, and perform analysis on the model.

Learn how to model a modem with T-Splines. The entire process consists of making a T-Splines box, then just moving control points. No other commands were used. This video is really paced more like a marketing piece than a tutorial, but if you would like to follow along, and the video is moving a bit fast for you, you can read the commands in the command history window in the top of the screen to see what has happened.
