Before purchasing a license, download the T-Splines Free Learning Edition to make sure the plugin runs on your computer. The Free Learning Edition allows you to save your work and never expires, but the saved files are not compatible with the registered version. The plugin is available for Maya 8, 7, 6.5 and 6 on Windows, Mac, and Linux, as well as for Maya 5 on Windows. A licensed copy of Maya is required to run the plugin.

Upon purchasing a license, you will immediately receive an email with a universal license good for seven days that will work on any operating system. You will also receive instructions for how to obtain your permanent node-locked license. A single T-Splines license allows the user to use T-Splines on one computer. Floating licenses are available. At the end of the purchase process, you will be directed to a download page where you can download the plugin for your version of Maya and operating system if you have not already done so.

Purchasing the plugin gives you free access to all 1.x updates. Educational Pricing is available. A physical backup CD is available at a nominal additional cost.
