Thomas Parel’s CAD monkey

I was checking Thomas Parel’s industrial design blog to see what he is up to these days, and came across a fun, older post: his CAD monkey, modeled in Silo then brought into CAD as usable T-Splines surfaces.

We’ve had some people ask lately how to make human and animal forms in T-Splines. With T-Splines v2, this is now much easier with our symmetry, advanced manipulator, and box modeling tools. If you’re interested in making these types of designs in NURBS-compatible T-spline surfaces, check out this tutorial about how to make a dolphin.
